Services

NMHC provides psychological care for children, adolescents, adults and families through individual, marital, family and group therapy. The following is included in our service delivery:
Mental Health Care

Individual and family counseling for a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, chronic pain, sexual dysfunction, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), couples counseling, trauma issues, etc.

Children, Adolescent, and Family Assessments/Interventions

Assessments of children/adolescents, and how they interact with the family system in general, assessments and help with parenting skills, family relationships and supports, and interventions for problems displayed by children.

Domestic Violence Group Intervention

NMHC Conducts a 30-week structured treatment group for male batterers based on the widely-used Duluth Model.

Assessments

For all ages including: Academic, social, intellectual, psychological, forensic, and medical psychology evaluations.

Psycho-Legal Issues

Assessments for custody, dangerousness, competency, parental fitness, insanity defense, sex offense-specific treatment, and monitoring of mental health status to provide supports. Comprehensive services integrated with medical and mental health treatments..

Community Integration and Supports

Safety and relapse prevention planning, flexible personal check-ins to cue cooperation with treatment, and monitoring of mental health status to provide supports. Comprehensive services integrated with medical and mental health treatments.

Strategies of Sobriety (SOS)

Substance abuse evaluation and treatment program that includes adult and adolescent alcohol and drug education, chemical dependency evaluations, intensive outpatient treatment programs, and aftercare.

Services for Seniors

Diagnostics, counseling, consultation with caregivers, home visits, long-term care facility consultations, functional behavior treatments, psychological and neuropsychological evaluations including dementia stating and differential diagnosis of brain diseases.

Neuropsychological Services

Neuropsychological evaluation and consultative services for any acquired or congenital brain injury. Common reasons for an evaluation include Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), developmental disorders, and cardiovascular disease.
