Dr. Doris K. Ramirez Nessetti, M.D.
Dr. Ramirez Nessetti is a second generation Ob/Gyn who brings a tremendous amount of compassion and dedication to every patient she treats. She was raised in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from the University of Houston in 1992 with a Bachelor in Biology and applied to Medical School. Dr. Ramirez Nessetti followed her father’s footstep to pursue her career in Ob/Gyn hoping to receive the same gratification her father enjoyed throughout his years of practice. She received her M.D. degree through New York Medical School in 1999 and completed her residency in Ob/Gyn at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York, graduating in 2004. Dr. Ramirez Nessetti was given “The Most Outstanding Laparoscopic and Endoscopic resident" in 2004 by the JSLS in July 2004. She also received the Augustin Award in 2004 for patient care and teaching her fellow residents. After graduating, Dr. Ramirez Nessetti had been working with her father and brother; both are OB/GYN, on Uterine Transplant research. The research is still ongoing.
She then met Dr. Matthew Nessetti who captivated her heart and moved her to Lincoln, NE. She has then been working with Physicians for Women providing Obstetric al and Gynecological services. She has joined NCHC as of April 20, 2010 and is excited about obstetrics, gynecology, well women exams, and integrated care for the whole family. Her practice ranges from simple PAP smears, pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, basic infertility and infections. Dr. Nessetti has been trained in minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, hysteroscopic sterilization, and many other surgical procedures. She takes pride in her knowledge and commitment in preventative care. Dr. Ramirez Nessetti will also provide comprehensive pregnancy care, including a sonogram (4D) at every visit. Dr. Ramirez Nessetti and her staff are devoted to make each pregnancy a special one! Dr. Ramirez Nessetti will also be implementing cosmetics and aesthetics in her practice by the end of the year. This will include Botox, fillers, and vaginal rejuvenation.
